The first iF Design Marathon, the new digital event format featuring selected iF partners, aims to discuss global topics like Design Education, Sustainability in Design and New Mobility. The Design Institute of Spain is one of the 12 stages of marathon!. You will cross cities from Germany, Spain, Brazil, Taiwan, Korea, China and the USA.

Get your sports shoes on, put on your smart watch and join us for a very special kind of marathon – the first iF Design Marathon! The starting signal will be given on 6 September on this channel.

With this unique digital event format we are showcasing selected iF partners around the globe. They are the ones who want to see your knees shaking – with excitement and joy – and bring you a total 12 stages of marathon goodness in 12 days! You will cross continents, from Europe to America and Asia, covering a total distance of 57,580 kilometers!  

The program includes panel sessions, pitching roadshows, hybrid or even live project presentations. So, get excited about big players in design. And get inspired by lessons learned from young talents. All the topics addressed affect today’s world – sustainability, design education, mobility, design thinking and creativity are definitely a part of it.

The iF Design Marathon kicks off on 6 September in Hannover, Germany. Chengdu, China, marks the finish line on 21 September. Stay tuned and follow us on our social media channels!
